Cash flow statement

A financial statement which depicts the actual cash inflows and outflows of the company.

An income statement might reflect future revenue from a big contract, while the actual cash might not be paid until the end of that contract. The cash flow statement on the other hand only shows actual exchanges of cash which have taken place, including cash from operating activities, cash from investing activities, and cash from financing activities.
